Bob Krysiak - Class of 2003
(Menominee)
A basketball coach and athletic director at Menominee High School, Bob Krysiak guided the Maroons to the Class B state championship in 1967. That is the last state title for an Upper Peninsula team in that division. The Shawano, WI native was Michigan's coach of the year in 1968 when the Maroons lost in the state semifinals. After compiling a 122-54 record in nine seasons, Krysiak became a referee for 31 years and officiated the 1982 Class B state championship football game. He was a gymnastics judge until 1991 and a starter at the U.P. girls track championships. He started every home track meet from 1963-91. He was athletic director from 1991-95.
