Bret Pearson - Class of 2010

A four-sport standout at Menominee High School, Bret Pearson was a four-year football letterman at the University of Wisconsin and was drafted by the NFL's San Diego Chargers.  He was Big Ten player of the week after catching eight passes for 91 yards and a touchdown against Ohio State in 1983 and was Big Ten honorable mention in 1984.  He signed with Orlando in 1985 but the USFL folded before he could play for the Renegades, then signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions in the NFL strike-shortened season.  From 1986-91 he coached jayvee girls basketball at Waunakee, Wis.  and varsity volleyball, girls jayvee basketball and varsity football assistant at Baraga.
