Duane Vandenbusche - Class of 2004

A track and cross country coach at Western State College in Gunnison, Colo.  since 1971, Vandenbusche has led his men's cross country team to five Division II NCAA championships and one NAIA title and the women's cross country team to three Division II NCAA titles and one NAIA crown.  Under his tutelage, 257 WSC student athletes have earned All-American honors, 28 men end 27 women have become national champions and three competed In the Olympics.  He is a seven-time national Coach of the Year in cross country.  A 1955 Rock High School graduate, Vandenbusche was a four-year participant in football, basketball and track for the Little Giants.
