Earl Stolberg - Class of 1997

(Iron Mountain)

a three-sport letterman at Iron Mountain High School, he set a U.P. pole vault record - using a bamboo pole of 12-feet-3 in the 1930s and stood until 1972.  A 1940 All-American pole vaulter at Marquette University, Stolberg set a school record of 14-feet, 1 inch.  He is a member of the Marquette University Sports Hall of Fame.
