Lynn Chandnois - Class of 2007

An all-around, big-play performer for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers from 1950-56, Lynn Chandnois scored 16 touchdowns. He holds the team career kickoff return record of 29.57 yards, which is second all-time in the NFL. He had two kickoff returns for touchdowns in 1952, when he was selected the NFL's Player of the year. After earning all-state honors at Flint Central High School in football and basketball, Chandnois was a four-year football standout for the Spartans and also played basketball for one year. He ranks first in career pass interceptions (20) and interception return yardage (384) and was the team's MVP in 1948 and an All-American in 1949. He was the State of Michigan's Outstanding Amateur Athlete in 1950.
